Kieran Flanagan

Speech Pathologist

Kieran has been working for many years to help children with special needs in communication. His philosophy is that children need to be heard, not just seen. Since achieving his Bachelor of Speech Pathology, he has shown his dedication to helping people with communication difficulties through his clinical work and research pursuits. Kieran has a keen interest in Childhood Apraxia of Speech and has even travelled overseas to complete training in Apraxia therapy and attend Apraxia conferences. His gentle nature with commitment to using the best science in clinical practice has seen him achieve positive outcomes for numerous clients.


 


Emma Howard
Speech Pathologist

Emma is a passionate speech pathologist who loves working with children and adolescents with significant communication difficulties.  Emma has previously worked with children in education, child and adolescent mental heath and private practice since graduating from Flinders University, South Australia in 2003.  Emma’s commitment to supporting children is evident in her ability to seek out and apply up to date strategies and techniques, including the PROMPT technique and David Hammer’s eclectic therapy approach.  Her warm and friendly nature enables her to form collaborative relationships with children and their families leading to positive outcomes for clients.  Emma is delighted to be apart of the amazing team at Max’s House who strive to meet the unique needs of children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech and related difficulties in order to help “kids speak up”.

     
Alicia Terrey  

Alicia Terrey
Speech Pathologist

Alicia graduated from a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) in 2004 from The University of Sydney.
Alicia is a dynamic therapist dedicated in working with children with complex communication difficulties, Apraxia and related speech conditions being of special interest. 
Alicia has completed specialised training in up to date and evidence based treatment for Childhood Apraxia of Speech, namely the Introduction to PROMPT technique and David Hammer’s eclectic approach to therapy.
Alicia has worked within a range of settings (clinic, education, community health centres) both in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Alicia loves working with children and their families and is empathetic to their journey. Alicia feels lucky to be a part of a specialised speech pathology clinic for the treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech that achieves such positive outcomes.
Alicia is dedicated to continue her learning within the field of Childhood Apraxia of Speech and related speech conditions, as new research in the diagnosis and treatment becomes available.
