Max's House Playgroup

DID YOU KNOW THAT...?

  • Max’s House operates as a “Not for Profit” clinic.  The clinic has been set up solely to help children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech and other severe speech and language disorders.
  • No fees or wages are paid at any time to the Directors of the clinic.  Wages are paid to speech pathologists and reception staff only.
  • The fees alone paid by our clients to the clinic do not meet the operating and running costs of such a specialised clinic as Max’s House.
  • The fees we charge of $80 per 30 minutes is subsided by the clinic.  The clinic would need to charge fees far higher than $80 per 30 minutes (closer to $100 per 30 minutes) in order to meet the costs associated with keeping our clinic viable and operational!
  • The costs of running Max’s House is very high. We spend thousands of dollars every year to provide training and support to our speech pathologists.
  • Max’s House continually runs fundraising events to help support the clinic, its running costs and therefore keeping it viable.

We, the directors and staff of Max’s House, need your support in our fundraising efforts in order to keep the clinic open!  Keeping the clinic open will allow us to help as many  children with severe speech disorders as we can!!

WHAT CAN YOU DO…..?

You can help by attending our fundraising events and dinners, encouraging others to attend or offering your help as a volunteer.  The clinic stays open purely to help children!! We need your help too!

Thanks,

Karen Douglas
Director
